In the class of Video Production we created several videos such as the Water PSA and also the Going to School video. In both these projects we needed to film several different clips and then edit them to be on continuous video. This is valuable to my future because it shows that many different pieces of the puzzle make it possible to create the big picture or in this case the video.
Both these projects were to create a video that depict different stories like how much water is consumed and its consequences, in the second video I had to show how to get to school. In order to successfully create both of these videos we needed to take several different clips that could then be edited to show exactly what was needed to been shown. First, we needed to shoot different clips and then edit them in Premiere Pro. Throughout this project I learned that several different components go into one project to make it whole.
The two SLO’s that I used in these two projects were applying technological skills for the 21st century and thinking creatively and critically. I applied the technological skills for the 21st century by using different equipment to make it possible to edit and film the video. I had to think creatively in order to make good videos and have a story behind them.
Overall this project taught me that me that there is always a story behind everything and that sometimes you have to create a story to effectively communicate. These skills will be helpful in my future when I create new things.
